The only thing I find interesting about Rising AV is that their website URL

http://www.freerav.com

obviously waits for drunk people unintentionally mistyping a certain similarly sounding URL known as:

http://www.free-av.com

that - as we all know - leads to our lovely AVIRA Smiley

Shouldn't we rather call that a cheap kind of phishing attempt from Beijing? (lol)

 Cheers

Or possibly to be kind, just a lack of realisation due to language.

Rising Antivirus Free Edition

Best Antivirus freeware, Better than AVG, AVIRA and Avast

by: ryankisss on 05-Jun-2008 05:02:01 AM

Pros: Many useful features, real-time protection, the scan-engine is quite fast, low memory usage.

Cons: so far nothing.

as the poster "ryankiss" said so on the fifth of june 2008, ALL OF US will now immediately remove those oh so bad AVIRA's, AVG's and avast's from our systems...  Tongue

What fools we must've been to even think of them ever being able to protect us... Thinking

Now, enter RYANKISS.  Nerd

We've seemingly got a new GURU to follow now.  Love

And if he told us so tomorrow we'd even remove all our former security progs, because having no security prog at all could mean not being exposed to yet unknown vulnerabilities of those progs.  Afro

Now, that's what I'd call ultimate wisdom.  Laugh

Am I joking here?  Huh

Oh, oh, ol' MorphOS would never dare to (now...), would he?  Wink

 Cheers

Obviously, YES.  Thinking

But I guess it beats NORTON at least, so be  Kewl

I prefer using Avira, though.  Nerd

(And I won't tell you why.)  Tongue

Still constantly switching your security set up  I see duke (aka woodward). The Proactive Defense is the same as KAV's and should be disabled since D+ is far superior.
