Hey V. Yeah I want to give it a try, but I didn't want any conflicts with D+ running. I think both KAV and Rising are a lot more set and forget protection than D+ though.

Hey Commodus, see the thread I started on Rising Antivirus Free & comment also as Vettetech did after I convinced him to give a whirl, let us know your thoughts and be objective after checking out the full potential of this Antivirus while we all patiently await CAVS3...

EDIT: forget that post, I was mistaken.

The only thing I find interesting about Rising AV is that their website URL

http://www.freerav.com

obviously waits for drunk people unintentionally mistyping a certain similarly sounding URL known as:

http://www.free-av.com

that - as we all know - leads to our lovely AVIRA Smiley

Shouldn't we rather call that a cheap kind of phishing attempt from Beijing? (lol)

 Cheers

Hmm... But both of the URLs belong to Avira.
None of them link to the free solution of Rising Security, which can be found at http://www.rising-global.com/
There seems to be a misunderstanding.

Eric:
did "Rising" in your topic address to the company or to rising as in "a new star rising" ?

Strange...www.freerav.com clearly takes me to download page of Rising Antivirus.

Sorry about that, my mistake. Overseen the r and simply read www.freeav.com
I beg your pardon.

Subscription is good till Nov. I know web shields are not that important but I download atot of stuff and visit warzez sites. I surf porn also from time to time. When I go to the eicar site this is what I want to see. Screen shot below.
