Ganda, almost everyone i know says any AOL software is spyware. Though i've yet to see any AOL software detected as spyware. I think it's safe. Afro

Maybe it isn't spyware, but even if it turns out to be not spyware, there are still other terms existing.

Crapware for example. Or, something I would define as a new kind of adware.

Maybe Sublimeware, Supposeware, Inspireware or Seduceware?

Anyway. AOL has proven in the past to not only be NOT SECURE, but to behave in a TREACHEROUS way.
Offering free AV protection, whilst making public personal user data is not in any way a trustworthy thing, methinks.

I fear that yahoo is, at this very moment, undergoing a similar process, i.e. evolving from a fine thingy to a recently-being-sold-to-notsofriendly people thingie.

Let's hope. But don't ever expect to have your hope fulfilled.
