ClamWin is an 'on demand' scanner only and doesn't monitor in real time. Also the detection rate isn't particularly high. You should switch to AntiVir which uses few resources and offers a high level of protection.

I agree, currently Avira is the way to go. Realtime monitoring is important.
But soon Comodo AntiVirus 3 will be very interesting to try out. In a few days from now, you'll get Comodo AntiVirus on-demand scan, integrated with CFP.

Sorry to say no, I seldom buy drinks with sugar. And you said I cannot have Coke Light.

You can try it with Coke lite as well, it may taste similar, but you'll have to change the recipe somewhat:
Weissbeer (80 percent), Coke (20 percent).
Guess it'll work somehow.
Cheers friend.

Nod 32 is quite light. A lot of people are fans or Avira, but im not so sure if I personally would use it. More opinions the better right?

LA and MorphOS, this is not a topic about coke (or beer)
Anyways, back to topic.
You don't seem to have much RAM, so Avira would be a good choice. Takes around 7 MB RAM, and aorund 700 kB if you want the tray icon. It has one of the best detection rates. Its database updates pretty often.
So, in a few words, it's free, light (not Cola Light, light on resources) and good!
You could download Avast and use it as on-demand, I rememeber it used a lot of resources.
Cheers,
Ragwing

Are you saying that you can disable the tray icon in Avira? I never saw that option, only saw it in avast.

My NOD32 takes up 23K in the system manager. How much does avira take up?

Just disable avgnt.exe from loading at startup. It's pretty ironic that you can easily terminate it thru the task manager... But Defense+ solves that problem.

System Manager?
Well, real-time protection takes around 7 MB RAM and tray icon around 700 kB RAM, like I wrote above. Avira's program folder needs 34,7 MB HDD space.

Wow, seems like NOD32 is VERY light on resources!
2 MB RAM is like nothing today.
