Question:  My AV scanner freezes during a scan.  What should I do?

Answer
It is possible your DEP settings may be blocking the scanner from working.
You must have Admin rights/access to do the following.
From your Help window, search DEP and select 'How to change DEP settings'
If your DEP is protecting everything on your computer, scroll down to locate the program cmdAgent.exe.  Disable DEP from this program.
Please note the above may not be permitted with Vista x64.
An alternative is to change DEP from protecting everything to just protecting Windows files (this works with Vista x64).
